I lived in Blackmore from 1970 until 1976 when I was 8 & my family moved to Shropshire. I loved living in the village, have lots of great memories. I have managed to revisit a few times whilst visiting in -laws -I am married to an Essex (Canvey Island)boy who I met in Shropshire! - Sian Palmer (nee Jones)

Am trying to locate an old friend, LEN RIDGET,who I know was living in Blackmoore mid 1960's. Used to have a shop in Brentwood High St,with his Brother-in-Law, selling Washing M/c and I think they were associated,with a Country Club or likewise. I would be grateful if someone could help. Hi. I have been researching the Sutton family from Blackmore for the past 22 years. I was lucky enough to visit Blackmore in 2005 when the church was closed for refurbishment and was given a guided tour by the Vicar, as we are from NZ. We will come again one day as we love Essex.
